Patricia Kluge was once known as "the wealthiest divorcee in history." Those days are over. Kluge, who had formerly been married to the late billionaire Paul Kluge, recently filed for bankruptcy protection, citing debts somewhere between $10 million and $50 million and assets between $1 million and $10 million.
News of Kluge's fall from financial grace stirred up a frenzy of Web searches. Over the course of an hour, online lookups for "patrica kluge" spiked as did interest in "patricia kluge bankruptcy" and "patricia kluge broke." A lawyer for Kluge and her husband, William Moses, remarked that the couple is "getting on with their lives, trying to discharge their debts and start over."
We doubt the couple will be out on the street selling pencils anytime soon. Still, Patricia Kluge's present straits represent a remarkable reversal for a woman who, at one time, was one of America's richest and most extravagant socialites. A buzzy article from the AP explains that the Kluges once hosted parties for "royalty, corporate chieftains, celebrities, and literary figures." They don't?
Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris have called off their wedding.
"The wedding is off," Hefner, 85, tweeted Tuesday. "Crystal has had a change of heart."
After getting engaged on Christmas Eve last year, the Playboy founder and Playmate reportedly had an argument over the weekend; according to TMZ, Harris moved out of the Playboy mansion and canceled Saturday's nuptials.
PHOTOS: Do Hugh and Crystal have the biggest age difference ever?
UPDATE: Harris' rep, Michael Blakey, "spoke to Crystal earlier this morning and she had shared the sad news with me," he tells Us Weekly. "The breakup was amicable. Crystal will now be focusing on her music career and her new single 'Club Queen,' which was released today."...More

WASHINGTON – So far, House Democratic leaders haven't publicly demanded Rep. Anthony Weiner resign after admitting he sent suggestive photos of himself in his underwear via Twitter and then lied about it to everyone within earshot.
But they've made it clear they'd appreciate it if he'd go away. And soon.
In statements within an hour of Weiner's stunning admission on Monday, not a single Democrat volunteered support for the man long mentioned as a possible future mayor of New York. And notably, none chose to comment on his defiant vow: "I am not resigning."
Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the party leader, said she was "disappointed and saddened." She and other Democrats called for an ethics committee investigation to determine whether Weiner had broken any House rules.
Other Democrats said they agreed.
Purely in political terms, violating House rules would be the least of the woes Weiner has inflicted on his party, currently trying to make the case that Republican policies fall harshly on female voters.
By his own admission, he behaved badly toward women, describing a series of sexually-infused exchanges via Twitter over the past three years.
"I have engaged in several inappropriate conversations conducted over Twitter, Facebook, email and occasionally on the phone with women I had met online," he said at his news conference in New York....More
