There are certain pitfalls to having more than 30 million followers on Twitter and another 4.5 million on Instagram. Namely, it's very easy to accidentally offend someone with what was supposed to be a lighthearted message.

That's what happened to pop sensation Justin Bieber recently, when he posted two Photoshopped images of boxer Manny Pacquiao getting knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez.

The first, which you can see above, is a parody of the Disney movie Lion King. The movie's main character, Simba, is checking to see if Pacquiao is O.K. Along with the photo Bieber provided a caption: "Dad wake up."

The other image is of Michael Jackson and Paqcuiao, both leaning in a similar fashion. Jackson was doing a dance move, Pacquiao was leaning on the ropes of the boxing ring. Bieber wrote, "Pacquiao doing the lean with MJ .. Classic moment."

Several members of the Philippines Congress were outraged to see Bieber's photos, and seven legislators even filed a resolution which demanded an apology for the "distasteful comments." They also released a statement, which read in part:

"Mr. Bieber should have known that the Hon. Pacquiao has reached his stature as such as a result of sheer hard work, determination and firm belief in God, and despite such stature best exemplifies humility and grace even in defeat."

The 18-year-old pop star has aligned himself with Pacquiao's rival, Floyd Mayweather, and he's made no secret of his allegiance....More

Is Brad Pitt seen as too good a guy to play a hit man? Moviegoers this weekend gave a thumbs down to his crime thriller "Killing Them Softly," which opened to a disappointing $7 million at the box office.

It's Pitt's worst box office opening ever, or at least since 1992's "Cool World," which took in $5.5 million. That one was on just 1,600 screens though. "Killing Them Softly" was in 2,422 theaters.

Expectations were modest for "Killing Them Softly," distributed by the Weinstein Company. Analysts had the film doing $12 million and thought it might do better, based on the appeal of Pitt. Instead it wound up with same weekend total as Disney's animated "Wreck-It Ralph," which is in its fifth week.

Pitt got a lot of the credit for the surprising success of last year's baseball movie "Moneyball," which opened to $19 million and went on to make $75 million. But first-night audiences gave "Killing Them Softly" an "F" CinemaScore, and the Weinstein's date change -- it had originally been set to open Oct. 19 -- didn't help.
Erik Lomis, head of distribution for the Weinstein Co., admitted he was disappointed and surprised.
"We thought a bold, caring film and we are proud of the movie," he told TheWrap Sunday. "We looked at the reviews and we thought it deserved a wide release."

Producer Annapurna Production made the film for $15 million and is on the financial hook. "Killing Them Softly" has generally received good reviews -- 81 percent positive on Rotten Tomatoes -- after premiering in competition in Cannes earlier this year. Some critics questioned whether the film's relentless references to the 2008 recession made it too talky for action fans.

It can cut either way when an actor who typically plays a "good guy" becomes a bad guy, or at least a very flawed character, in a film. Denzel Washington notably went against his typical roles in the 2001 film "Training Day," in which he played a cop gone bad. That film debuted No. 1 at $22 million.

"You never know," Lomis said. "We had a strong Friday and thought that would provide a lift." That miserable "F" CinemaScore, however, meant the word-of-mouth was going to hurt rather than help, however.
Andrew Dominik ("The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford") directed and wrote the screenplay on "Killing Them Softly." The supporting cast includes Ray Liotta, Richard Jenkins and James Gandolfini....More

As conservatives search for an explanation for Mitt Romney's loss, much of the blame has been directed at the collapse of his campaign's Election Day get out the vote efforts, a massive organizational failure that resulted in lower Republican turnout than even John McCain got in 2008. A major source of Romney's GOTV problems appears to have been the disastrous Project ORCA, an expensive technological undertaking that was supposed to provide the campaign with real-time poll monitoring that would allow Republicans to target GOTV efforts on Election Day. In the week leading up to the election, Romney campaign spokesperson Andrea Saul told Business Insider that ORCA was "the Republican Party’s newest, most technologically advanced plan to win the 2012 election," touting it as the game-changer that would blow even the Obama campaign's sophisticated GOTV system out of the water. But on almost all counts, ORCA failed miserably. In a fascinating piece for Ace of Spades, Romney poll-watcher John Ekdahl describes a perfect storm of technology problems that made the ORCA app unusable and left scores of Republican volunteers " wandering around confused and frustrated" on Election Day. Worse still, Ekdahl told Business Insider that the Romney campaign failed to provide poll-watching volunteers in his region — Jacksonville, Florida, a key Republican city in a major swing state — with proper credentials and accurate voter strike lists, rendering them unable to perform their duties even if the ORCA app had worked. In interviews with Business Insider last week, sources close to the Romney campaign confirmed Ekdahl's account, and described a technological undertaking that failed at every level. According to several of these sources, ORCA was developed by a small, isolated tech team working under Romney's political team. These sources told Business Insider that the product was never properly beta-tested, and wasn't revealed to the rest of the campaign — including the digital team — until the week of the election...More

Unbreak her . . . bank account? TMZ reports that Toni Braxton is in big trouble after fraudulently wiring her estranged husband more than $50,000. Musician Keri Lewis -- who separated from his wife of a decade in 2009 -- supposedly received the money just before Braxton's 2010 bankruptcy filing. The bankruptcy trustees are currently suing Lewis in order to recover the $53,490 sum, which they posit the singer transferred in order to avoid having to use it to pay back her creditors. Two years ago, Braxton was allegedly somewhere between $10 million and $50 million in debt, prompting her to file bankruptcy. A rep for the "Unbreak My Heart" crooner, 45, denies any wrongdoing on her part. "All of the payments made to Lewis prior to Toni's bankruptcy filing were appropriate transfers for reasonable and necessary personal and business expenses in the ordinary course of her business," her rep told TMZ, adding that Braxton is happy to provide whatever information necessary in order to clear her and her spouse's names. The Supreme Court is the highest court in the land, but no justice, even Antonin Scalia, is apparently safe on the streets of Philadelphia when it comes to its Parking Authority. The Philadelphia Parking Authority is nationally known because of its starring role for five years in “Parking Wars,” the popular cable TV shows that depicts everyday life for PPA workers and the citizens of Philly. And on Monday, one of the citizens who will interact with the PPA in the near future appears to be Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia. Scalia was in Philadelphia at the Union League of Philadelphia, the private club best known outside the city for its role in the Eddie Murphy film Trading Places. Dean Picciotti sent us a picture of Scalia’s official car, parked at the League, with a brand-new PPA ticket on its windshield placed by an attentive parking enforcement officer at lunchtime. Scalia’s car was ticketed despite the presence of an official police business placard on its dashboard. Later in the day, the Philadelphia Inquirer spoke with a PPA official about five hours after we first reported the story locally. A Supreme Court official confirmed to the Inquirer that ticket was given to Scalia’s car. It was apparently in a no-loading zone. Ironically, the Parking Authority is one of the few GOP-dominated institutions in Philadelphia, a city long controlled by Democrats....More

Erin Moran, former "Happy Days" star, is now allegedly homeless after being kicked out of the trailer where she lived. RadarOnline reports that the actress' hard partying drew the ire of her mother-in-law. Moran was living in the trailer with her husband, Steve Fleischmann, and his mother. RadarOnline has a photo of Moran outside a Holiday Inn Express in Corydon, Ind., smoking a cigarette and looking ragged. She was reportedly staying there with her husband and their pet dogs. The owner of the Holiday Inn Express told E! News that Moran "had caused a disturbance of some type" but it is unclear if she was forced to leave the hotel or checked out on her own accord. Several locals "had seen [Moran] at local bars, just kind of hanging with the locals. No big deal," reporter/photographer Alan Stewart also told E! News. Other reports allege that Moran is not only homeless, but also blowing through the cash she was awarded in a legal settlement with CBS over merchandise revenue for "Happy Days"...More

Kim Kardashian caught plenty of flack this week (as tends to happen to a rich girl who got super famous thanks to a reality show she got after making a sex tape) for a remark she made in a recent interview with the U.K.’s The Guardian. In it, the 31-year-old made a comment many construed as comparing her struggles (televising her wedding, splitting from the groom 72 days later) to … the struggles of someone with cancer? We at omg! weren’t convinced that’s what she actually meant by the statement, but you can decide for yourself. Here’s what she said in the interview, addressing the topic of whether she felt pressure to televise her wedding for her reality show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians": "Not really. We [were] done filming our season at that point, so we decided to film for the wedding. And that was a decision that he and I made together. But I think that, with any decisions in life, like, I spoke to a girl today who had cancer and we were talking about how this is such a hard thing for her, but it taught her a big lesson on who her friends are and so much about life. She's 18. And I was like, that's how I feel." Dozens of media outlets picked up the story, running catchy headlines such as “Did Kim Kardashian compare her televised wedding to cancer?” and the like. Many people took to Twitter to bash the millionaire reality star. And still others waged a campaign to boycott cable’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”...More

How Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes first met has always been shrouded in secrecy. Although it has been widely speculated that she was selected for him by the Church of Scientology, this is something that the organization has always denied. But if the rumor is true, Holmes wouldn’t have been the first actress to “audition” for the role. According to a new report in the October issue of Vanity Fair, just months before Cruise stepped out with Holmes in April 2005, his controversial religion was looking to find a girlfriend for him, preferably one that was already a Scientologist. VF special correspondent Maureen Orth reports that Scientology officials brought in a number of its members, who happened to be actresses, under the guise they were auditioning for a "new training film." The women were also asked, “What do you think of Tom Cruise?” Of the "several" that were interviewed, one landed the part: Iranian-born, London-raised Nazanin Boniadi. "In a month-long preparation in October 2004, she was audited every day, a process in which she told a high-ranking Scientology official her innermost secrets and every detail of her sex life," Orth writes in Vanity Fair about the “General Hospital” actress. Boniadi, who one source tells the magazine had to sign a confidentiality agreement, “allegedly was told to lose her braces, her red highlights, and her boyfriend." A month later, Boniadi, now 32, first met the “Mission: Impossible” star in New York City for a dinner at Nobu – but it wasn’t just a one-on-one date. Orth reports that “an entourage of Scientology aides” were also present and it was “when [Boniadi] first sensed that this was possibly going to be an arranged marriage.” After the meal, they went ice skating at Rockefeller Center, which had been closed to the public. At the end of the night, Boniadi and Cruise retired to a room at Trump Tower, “but according to several sources, they did not have sex.” Orth writes that he also told the brunette beauty, “I’ve never felt this way before” and then had her sign a second confidentiality agreement...More

Michael Phelps could be in hot water -- not the cold bathtub he appears to be in -- for his recent photo shoot with the French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton. Photos of Phelps taken by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz were leaked on the Internet late last week, violating the International Olympic Committee's controversial Rule 40, which states athletes can't promote any non-Olympic sponsors from July 18 to Aug. 15. Punishments for the rule range from fines to a stripping of medals. The campaign was set to begin on Aug. 16 in order to comply with the IOC's campaign against ambush marketing. Someone jumped the gun and the photos appeared on a wide variety of websites starting on the second Tuesday of the Olympics. Louis Vuitton denies releasing the photographs, as does Phelps' camp. Rule 40 states "a competitor or a team may lose the benefit of any ranking obtained in relation to other events at the Olympic Games at which he or it was disqualified or excluded; in such case the medals and diplomas won by him or it shall be returned to the IOC." In other words, Phelps could theoretically be stripped of his medals from London....More

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The mother of Michael Jackson said in court papers she was kept from communicating with outsiders while at a resort in Tucson and was unaware she had been reported missing. Katherine Jackson declared in the documents obtained Thursday that she had no idea she was the subject of a search until she accidentally heard a TV report. She said she was told her doctor had ordered her to rest and she was flown to Arizona. At a spa, her cell phone was confiscated along with her IPad and she said she was kept in a room with no working phone or TV service. She said she asked about Michael's children and was told they were fine. The disclosure marked the latest development in a series of events that began when Katherine Jackson was reported missing but later turned up at the spa with family members. The documents were released after a judge reinstated Katherine Jackson as the guardian of the children in an arrangement that also keeps their cousin as temporary co-guardian. Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff said during a hearing that an investigator who looked into the children's care found that the late pop star's 82-year-old mother was an excellent guardian and the children love her very much. "I think the kids are in terrific hands," the judge said. "It appears from the report that Katherine Jackson has done a wonderful job and cares about the children very much." Beckloff noted that the children, Prince, 15, Paris, 14 and Blanket, 10, also have a close relationship with their 34-year-old cousin TJ Jackson, who was named temporary guardian last week after working closely with Katherine Jackson since Michael Jackson died. TJ is "incredibly respectful" of the family matriarch and she is respectful of him, the judge said. Beckloff said he will finalize the arrangement later in the month but for now will issue letters of co-guardianship allowing both Jacksons to make decisions about the children's welfare. TJ Jackson's new co-guardianship status is temporary, but the judge could make it permanent when he convenes the next court hearing on Aug. 22....More

Conservative is not a word that comes to mind when you think of Rihanna. Between the racy outfits — both onstage and off — at least 17 tattoos, wild hairstyles, over-sexualized lyrics, and late-night partying, the singer comes off as very rebellious. But she insists she's not like that in all aspects of her life. "I have been conservative in my love life … it's pretty much nonexistent," Rihanna says in the August issue of Harper's Bazaar, despite her very public romances with Chris Brown, Drake, and baseball star Matt Kemp. "If I come across someone who I find really cool, I'll hang out. But the minute I find that we're getting too close, I just — I don't let people in." Perhaps that's because she was already very badly burned by one love in particular. After Brown beat Rihanna, now 24, so badly following a pre-Grammys party in 2009, the relationship instantly ended — but those strong feelings for the "Turn Up the Music" singer didn't diminish as quickly. "When I was in love, I fell so hard. I was really, really, really in love," she tells the mag. "The way it made me feel was priceless. And in a blink of an eye my whole life changed. Everything that I knew was different. I never thought I'd feel that pain in my life. I'm afraid of feeling that again." Yet she put herself back in that situation when she had Brown, 23, collaborate on the mix of her song "Birthday Cake" earlier this year. Rihanna admits that she wanted to work with an artist who would be "shocking" to her fans and the world, but she didn't exactly expect the mega backlash she got for reuniting with the hot-tempered R&B singer. "I understood that people had every right to be concerned about it," she says. "But I didn't see it that way because I'm in a different place."...More

NEW YORK (AP) — New York City police investigated a report Thursday of a bar brawl involving hip-hop stars Drake and Chris Brown and their entourages in which bottles flew and five people were injured. Brown tweeted a photo of himself with a cut chin, then later removed it, as well as other messages about the fight, including epithets and taunts. A representative later released a statement saying Brown, his girlfriend and friends were the victims of a "brutal attack." At least five people were injured during the fight at the club W.i.P. (Work in Progress) in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood early Thursday, police said. A 25-year-old man suffered a serious cut to the head, two other men and two women suffered minor cuts. At least three were hospitalized. Police were looking at surveillance footage and talking to patrons who witnessed the melee. No arrests have been made and no complaints filed. "Chris and his party are cooperating with NY authorities who are pursuing this incident further," Brown's representatives wrote in a statement. Neither star was on scene when police arrived around 4 a.m. Thursday. It's not clear what prompted the fight. Both Brown and Drake at one time dated singer Rihanna. A representative for Drake said the star was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. "He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property," according to the written statement...More

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has come under attack for using the N-word when referring to a photo of two of her African American friends Jay-Z and Beyonce. When partying on stage with the couple during a Jay-Z and Kanye Watch The Throne stop in Paris Friday, Paltrow tweeted a photo with the message, "Ni**as in paris for real @mrteiusnash (the dream) tyty, beehigh." Many who took offense to Paltrow using the derogatory term slammed her online. Amanda Seales called Paltrow's comment "wreckless." A post on popular African American blog site, Bossip.com, said "Gwyneth might be getting a little too comfortable around her black friends …" On Sunday, Paltrow defended using the word. "Hold up. It's the title of the song!" she said in response to a post from blogger B. Scott. "Single Ladies" producer The Dream came to Paltrow's defense. "WE GIVE THE WORD TO MUCH POWER!" he wrote on his Twitter page. As an African American person, I agree that Paltrow's use of the N-word was inappropriate. But I believe I understand why she thought making the reference was okay. During the U.S. run of Watch The Throne tour, Jay-Z and Kanye closed out the show with the infectious sing-along song. They performed 9 encores in Los Angeles the night I attended. If you've gone to a hip hop show, you know that crowd participation is mandatory....More

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies are investigating a complaint that Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber roughed up a man who was taking pictures of the performer at a suburban shopping center, police said on Monday. Deputies were called on Sunday to an outdoor shopping area in Calabasas, about 23 miles northwest of Hollywood, by a man who reported having just had an altercation with Bieber, the sheriff's department said in a press statement. According to the statement, the man said he was taking pictures of Bieber, who was with his girlfriend, actress Selena Gomez, when the singer "physically battered" him. Bieber's publicist with Island/Def Jam Music Group could not immediately be reached for comment. A spokeswoman for the sheriff's department, Lillian Peck, declined to give further details about the nature of the alleged confrontation or any injuries suffered by the man. But Peck said the man, who was not identified by police, complained of pain, and after requesting medical attention was treated on the scene by paramedics, then taken to a local hospital, where he was examined and later released. Bieber, 18, who has professed a determination to maintain a squeaky-clean image, had left the shopping center with Gomez, 19, before officers arrived, according to the man with the camera. Peck said sheriff's deputies are investigating the case as a misdemeanor battery complaint and were looking for any possible eyewitnesses, but she did not know whether they had contacted Bieber about the incident. The Hollywood news website TMZ.com reported that the man behind the complaint was a professional celebrity photographer. Citing accounts of witnesses at the scene, TMZ said the paparazzo was blocking Bieber's car as the entertainer was trying to leave and that a scuffle ensued after Bieber got out of his car, asked the man to leave and the man refused...More

We don't advocate picking up hitchhikers (they might have hooks or axes or really bad breath), but this story about a rock band picking up a happy (and famous) traveler is too cool to ignore. Indie band Here We Go Magic were traveling through Ohio in their van when they came across a hitchhiker on the side of Interstate 70. The man looked a lot like legendary film director John Waters. So, the band turned around and took another look. Turns out it was John Waters, the icon behind the groundbreaking "Pink Flamingos," as well as "Hairspray" and "Cecil B. Demented." The rock group, on their way to Chicago for a gig, posted a play-by-play of their encounter to their Twitter feed and relayed their adventure to DCist. Waters was a real charmer. "He got in the van and he got all tangled up in the seat belt, it was really adorable. That was the first thing that happened. We're traveling in a van and there are all these seat belts that block your way. You know, the ones that go from the side to the seats in the middle. So he was totally tangled and he didn't even remove himself. He just sort of sat down, entrenched in seat belts. He was a perfect gentlemen." More

It's a story we've seen all too many times. A famous athlete divorces his wife either during his playing career, or just a few years removed from it while the endorsement opportunities are still rolling in. The athlete gets tagged for child support and/or alimony payments that are in line with a level of income that dwindles significantly within a few years. The famous athlete then gets way, way behind on those payments. Toss in a hard-partying lifestyle, way too many appearances at way too many pathetic public events, and you have the case of Basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman.

Calling Rodman "broke" and "extremely sick," Dennis' attorneys (working pro bono) are arguing in court that he is unable to keep up with his own living expenses, much less those of his ex-wife. Here's the sad tale, from the Los Angeles Times:

Rodman is behind in his payments and faces a court hearing Tuesday in Orange. He faces up to 20 days in jail for failure to pay spousal and child support, according to an attorney for his ex-wife. As of March 1, Rodman, 51, owed $808,935 in back child support for the 9- and 10-year-old children that he had with his third wife, Michelle Rodman, said her attorney, Jack Kayajanian, in court documents.

Rodman also owed $51,441 through March 1 in back spousal support, Kayajanian alleged in court documents.

Rodman's attorney, Linnea Willis, did not specify in the documents what she meant by "sick." It's unclear if Dennis is suffering from some sort of malady, is broken up by the burden of his debts, or if she's referring to the "well-documented drinking problem" his manager told ABC News about on Tuesday. What is clear is that this is just sad, sad, sad. More

Coolio's probably not cool with his son being in jail, but he doesn't have too much room to talk.

The rapper's oldest son, 22-year-old Grtis Ivey, got into some trouble with the law in November. (E! News confirms that he has been charged with robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy robbery, kidnap first degree with a deadly weapon, burglary with use of a deadly weapon and grand larceny.)

But Friday morning, Coolio himself was placed behind bars at the same facility as Ivey...

The 48-year-old star (real name: Artis Leon Ivey) was a passenger in a vehicle was pulled over for a routine traffic violation Friday morning, law enforcement tells E! News.

But when Coolio's name was put through the system, the officer noticed he had two active bench warrants out for his arrest stemming from multiple traffic violations.

As a result, he was arrested and booked in the Clark County Detention Center, where his son is due to face a judge Monday. Coolio has since posted bail and been released.

Andrew Schiff was sitting in a traffic jam in California this month after giving a speech at an investment conference about gold. He turned off the satellite radio, got out of the car and screamed a profanity.

"I'm not Zen at all, and when I'm freaking out about the situation, where I'm stuck like a rat in a trap on a highway with no way to get out, it's very hard," Schiff, director of marketing for broker-dealer Euro Pacific Capital Inc., said in an interview.

Schiff, 46, is facing another kind of jam this year: Paid a lower bonus, he said the $350,000 he earns, enough to put him in the country's top 1 percent by income, doesn't cover his family's private-school tuition, a Kent, Connecticut, summer rental and the upgrade they would like from their 1,200-square- foot Brooklyn duplex.

"I feel stuck," Schiff said. "The New York that I wanted to have is still just beyond my reach."...More

As Demi Moore hides out following her recent hospitalization, the actress' closest pals are rallying around her to offer messages of love and support.

Moore was M.I.A. at the 64th Annual Directors Guild of America Awards in Hollywood Saturday, despite being nominated alongside Jennifer Aniston, 42, Alicia Keys, 31, Patty Jenkins, 40, and Penelope Spheeris, 66, for co-directing Lifetime's Five.

"It would have been nice [to have Demi here], but given circumstances, life goes on and first things first," Spheeris told Us Weekly. "And we all wish Demi the best and I hope we all get together soon."

Jenkins echoed Spheeris' sentiments, saying: "It's terribly sad that she's not here, but she'll be great in two seconds."

While the newly single star recovers, Jenkins told Us the Margin Call actress is "one of my favorite people in the world" and "one of the greatest girls I've met in Los Angeles."

An insider previously confirmed to Us that Moore, 49, suffered a seizure on Monday, prompting her chilling 911 call. (TMZ claims that Moore was doing "whip-its," inhaling nitrous oxide, to get high.)

"She has spiraled," a source explained to Us, "and gotten to a place where she is struggling too much to function." (Source)

People sure love to hate Lana Del Rey. After sustaining repeated attacks on her appearance, her questionable past, and her flimsy current identity, the retro-glamour singer and "gangsta Nancy Sinatra" was torn apart once again for her less-than-impressive performance on "Saturday Night Live" this past weekend. NBC news anchor Brian Williams called her "one of the worst [performers] in 'SNL' history," while the episode's host, Daniel Radcliffe, came to her defense. So, did "SNL" producers make a big mistake by booking Del Rey, who has yet to release her major label debut album, for such a high-profile appearance so early--or by booking her at all?

Lana Del Rey's brief career has actually been controversial and troubled from the start. After getting signed to Interscope last October, gracing the covers of magazines like Billboard and Interview Russia, and getting signed to Next Model Management, a backlash among skeptics was inevitable. Bloggers doubted her authenticity, critics' patience for her soon wore razor-thin, and her shoddy "SNL" performance pushed many fence-sitters right back into the haters' camp. It seems that whatever Del Rey manages to accomplish, her online haters are always waiting for her to falter.

Even NBC news anchor and indie music fan Brian Williams--in a private email published without consent on the gossip site Gawker--called Del Rey's performance "one of the worst outings in 'SNL' history." Williams did, however, write that the singer was one of "SNL's" most inexperienced performers, having been booked solely on the strength of a two-song online EP. The episode's host, actor Daniel Radcliffe, came to Del Rey's defense, making the point: "People seemed to turn on her so quickly... making it about things other than the performance... it's all about her past and her family, and stuff that's nobody else's business."...More

MIAMI (AP) — Like tens of thousands of other Florida homeowners, imprisoned former football star O.J. Simpson is in danger of losing his house to foreclosure.

Miami-Dade Circuit Court records show that JPMorgan Chase filed for foreclosure in September on the four-bedroom, four-bath house south of downtown Miami. Simpson's attorney has since filed a motion to dismiss the case, but there has been no further action since November.

Simpson bought the 4,233-square-foot house in 2000 for $575,000, property records show. Its current assessed value is $478,401, with property taxes of about $9,000. The 2011 taxes were paid in December.
